The Hydroponic Program includes a "Back to the Roots" self-cleaning fish tank that has a tray on top to grow plants such as herbs and sprouts. It also includes a coupon for a beta fish to put into the tank and two resource books produced by the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship (COVE):

Reggie’s Technology Adventure
Students will explore currently used technologies in agriculture and food production through the story “Reggie’s Technology Adventure”, and then use this knowledge to design their own model “Farm of the Future” including farm layout and production, technologies in use, and careers needed on this farm.

Agriculture in the Classroom PEI (AITC-PEI) is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to providing accurate, balanced, and current curriculum-linked agri-food resources, programs, and initiatives based in science. AITC-Canada is the national voice for agriculture education with a vision for agriculture in every classroom, inspiring every student. As one of 9 provincial member organizations, AITC-PEI acts locally to engage Island students and educators to enhance their knowledge of agriculture and food.
